Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game Part 1 – Where to Watch Online

ShounenActionSupernaturalStreaming

The Culling Game is the centrepiece of Jujutsu Kaisen's third season—and one of the most ambitious arcs in modern shonen. After the devastation of the Shibuya Incident, the brain-stealing curse user Kenjaku activates a centuries-old binding vow: a colony-based battle royale where long-dead sorcerers are reincarnated into modern vessels and forced to hunt each other for points. The rules are brutal: kill or be killed, and the only way to add time to your "game over" clock is to take points from others. For Kenjaku, the real goal is to push the evolution of humanity and cursed energy to a tipping point so he can merge the world with Tengen, the immortal barrier master—and Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and their allies are caught in the middle.

Part 1 throws viewers straight into the chaos. Yuji enters one colony and immediately clashes with a string of deadly opponents, including the ruthless Reggie Star, whose contract-based technique turns everyday objects into weapons, and the lightning-wielding Hajime Kashimo, a four-hundred-year-old sorcerer who lived only to fight Sukuna and now hunts anyone strong enough to satisfy him. Megumi is drawn into a different colony where he faces the stone-cold Ryu Ishigori and the elusive Uro Takako, both reincarnated legends with techniques that push his Ten Shadows to the limit. Meanwhile, other key players—Panda, Hakari, and the Kyoto students—scatter across Japan, each fighting for points and survival while the clock ticks. The arc doesn't slow down: every colony has its own rules, its own roster of reincarnated sorcerers, and its own stakes. Gege Akutami's choreography is dense and tactical, and MAPPA's team under director Shota Goshozono translates it into fluid, impactful animation that keeps the power levels and the emotional weight clear.

What makes the Culling Game hit so hard is the combination of scale and intimacy. The world is literally at risk, but the story never loses sight of Yuji's guilt after Shibuya, Megumi's burden as a clan heir, and the cost of every alliance and every death. Part 1 sets the board for the rest of the game—Tengen's merger, Sukuna's plans, and the fates of every character we care about. You can stream Jujutsu Kaisen from the Culling Game onward (and every prior season) with English subtitles and English dub on Anime Village; new episodes are added as they release.
